王传奎副校长到商学院调研国际化办学工作

4月21日上午,校党委常委、副校长王传奎到商学院调研,听取国际化示范学院建设情况,了解留学生教育管理工作。国际交流与合作处、留学生工作办公室、教务处、研究生院、信息化工作办公室、商学院负责同志参加调研座谈。

会上,商学院负责同志汇报了国际化示范学院建设的基本思路、组织架构、运行机制及创新举措,围绕全英文课程、教学团队建设、留学生招生、考试、培养、管理及后勤保障等问题提出意见建议,并就有关问题与部门负责同志进行了互动交流。

王传奎认真听取大家的发言,针对留学生工作中存在的难点、堵点问题进行深入追问交流。他充分肯定了商学院留学生工作有关做法和取得的成绩,对进一步加强和改进工作提出明确要求。他说,办好留学生教育、提高留学生培养质量,是深化改革开放、实现中国式现代化的需要,重视加强国际交流与合作,做好做实留学生工作,是学校推进国际化战略、办好高水平大学的内在要求。各部门各单位要统一思想,提高认识,进一步优化国际化办学体制,切实突破制约高质量发展的机制障碍,积极拓宽办学渠道,改善办学条件,为来华专家和留学生提供安全便捷的生活和学习环境。要主动识变应变求变,针对疫情趋稳、来华留学生规模扩增的新情况,解放思想,抢抓机遇,早做规划,早做准备,确保工作灵活机动、稳健高效。

据悉,商学院正积极采取措施,进一步挖掘国际化办学资源,坚持引进来和走出去结合,整合优化学科、专业、师资、课程,改革教育教学模式,提高留学生培养质量,以中外合作办学项目为依托,加大国际交流合作力度,积极打造新儒商教育品牌,着力建设有特色、高水平、国际化商学院。

On the morning of April 21st, Wang Chuankui, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of the university, visited the Business School, listening to the progress of the Internationalized Demonstration School and to understand the management of international students. Officials from the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation, the Office of International Student Affairs, the Academic Affairs Office, the Graduate School, the Office of Information Technology, and the Business School participated in the discussion.

During the meeting, officials from the Business School reported on the basic ideas, organizational structure, operation mechanisms, and innovative measures of the Internationalized Demonstration School. They provided suggestions and opinions on issues such as all-English courses, faculty team building, international student enrollment, examinations, education and training, management, and logistical support. There was also an interactive discussion with the responsible officials from relevant departments on these issues.

Wang Chuankui listened carefully to everyone's speeches and engaged in in-depth exchanges and follow-up questions regarding the difficulties and problems encountered in the management of international students. He fully acknowledged the practices and achievements of the Business School in managing international students and emphasized the need to further strengthen and improve the work. He stated that providing quality education for international students and enhancing their training quality is a requirement for deepening reform and opening up and realizing Chinese-style modernization. Strengthening international exchanges and cooperation, and effectively managing international students are intrinsic requirements for the university to promote internationalization strategies and achieve high-level university management. All departments should unify their thinking, improve their understanding, further optimize the internationalization management system, effectively break through the mechanism obstacles that constrain high-quality development, actively broaden their channels for running schools, improve the conditions for running schools, and provide a safe and convenient living and learning environment for international students and experts who come to China. They should proactively adapt to changes and seek opportunities, make plans and preparations early, and ensure that the work is flexible, agile, stable, and efficient.

It is reported that the Business School is actively taking measures to further explore international education resources, adhering to the combination of importing and going out, integrating and optimizing disciplines, majors, faculty, and courses, reforming education and teaching models, improving the quality of international student training, relying on Sino-foreign cooperative education programs, increasing international exchange and cooperation efforts, and actively creating a new Confucian business education brand. The Business School is dedicated to building a distinctive, high-level, and internationalized school of business.
